OBJECTIVES OF COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science was established in 1997 with B.Com (Computers) & B,Com (Honours), MSCs and MPCs in 1998, and B.com(Comp Appl.) in 2010 were added. The intake has gradually increased to 120 with two sections for B.Com (computers) by the year 2006. The department has formed full-fledged in 2008.

The department has well qualified, experienced, young and dynamic faculty members. The teaching staff is actively engaged in various activities like seminars/workshops on the latest developments and arranging internships, industrial visits and expert lectures for the benefit of the students in collaboration with other departments. The department is planning to organize training programs and certification courses for students to develop excellence in the field of Information Technology.

The department has good infrastructure facilities with full-fledged laboratories and each lab has latest high configuration systems. Computer labs are being shared with other departments like English, Commerce, and Statistics etc.The College library not only has several Computer Science books but also magazines and journals for students and faculty. Various computer journals are available online through the university library.

Every year our students achieve positions and get campus placements. i.e More than 50% of our students get absorbed in decent jobs immediately after their completion through placements. The department ensures effective Teaching by providing Audio visual equipment LCD projectors, Wi-Fi and Internet facility, latest software packages for labs, library with reference books, magazines, Indian professional Journals.

In this vision &mission , teachers of science are professionals responsible for their ownprofessional development and for the maintenance of the teaching profession & always seeks to enrich and cater courses to the students based on global employment market. To achieve this, it designs and develops a wide range of add on, skill development certification courses. The department also conducts various value added courses to the students. We ensure that students attain the skill by choosing a relevant elective. In order to enhance and give quality.
