Vision of the department
1. The department vision is to make reasonable and strategic investments in faculty and facilities to become a much stronger and higher ranked department.
2. The department proposed to organize more number of student activity programs like quiz, science exhibition, Physics club etc..,
3. It also proposed to collaborate with Research Institute Centers like NGRI, AMD labs etc..,
4. Our goal over the next five years to improve the quality of the poor applicant and increase the number of excellent students matriculating to research Physics.
5. Ultimately this will enable us to increase our standard resulting in positive feedback loop that will allow us to better compete with those institutions that attract the very best students.
6. It also proposed to organize more number of guest / extension lectures and also to conduct workshops on experimental Physics.
MISSION of the department
1. Through high-quality teaching and service, the Department’s aim is to promote freedom of inquiry, the search of truth, and concern for others. The pupils get the most out of their learning experience.
2. The department produces knowledge in the service of humanity via the Efforts of its faculty.
3.The Physics Department aims to produce graduates who are competent in the disciplines of Physics, Competitive and Innovative environment and persons with Ethical values. Our students in turn will be equipped to provide expert services to the country and internationally
OBJECTIVES
1.To become a center of excellence and source of reference for Physics.
2.Produce high quality graduates in the fields of Physics who will involve in Physics research and Physics education.
3.To establish and enhance the professionalism of our Physics students in order to contribute towards national development and wellbeing of the people.
4.To strengthen relations and cooperative links with research institutions, education institutions, and industries related to the fields of physics.
5.Explore new areas in physics research.
